Fish With Jim Outfitters offers Ice Fishing Trips on the most productive Inland Lakes that Northern Michigan has to offer. Our mobile guide service will give your group the best possible fishing trip by being on the best bite and the best ice conditions. Come catch some of Northern Michigan's game fish through the ice, including Lake Trout, Splake, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Perch, Burbot, Cisco and more in Northern Michigan's inland lakes. Jim Outfitters regularly ice fishes in numerous lakes across Northwest Lower Michigan. We provide everything your group needs to enjoy ice fishing, including safe transportation, a heated shelter, fishing equipment, and bait.

Fully Guided Trips

1/2 Day $179 - Per Fisherman for 4 Hours

Full Day $229 - Per Fisherman for 7 hours

We have a capacity of up to 10 fully guided fishermen per day.

 

Follow-Out Trips

What is included in your Fully Guided trip?

We offer guided ice fishing trips with warm shelters, propane heaters, transportation, fish-finders, a variety of fishing rods, tackle, bait, and local knowledge.

 

What is included in your Follow-Out trip?

If you have all the gear and are just looking to tag along for the day we have this option for you. You get the same attention from our guides, but you set up your gear. Transportation is not included but can be added for an additional $50 per shanty. Marcum LX-7 fish finders can be rented for $30 per day.

 

Where We Fish. 

Come ice fishing in the breathtaking inland lakes of Northwest Lower Michigan with Fish With Jim Outfitters. Some of these lakes include Bear Lake, Lake Charlevoix, Lake Skegemog, Thumb Lake, and Torch Lake.

 

Transportation

Fishing with the Fish With Jim Outfitters Taiga Dog is an exciting way to explore small inland lakes and early ice. The Taiga Dog has the ability to pull heavy loads over snow and Ice. This machine is lightweight and has a large footprint, making it suitable for use on first ice.

 

Shanties and Fishing Gear

Currently Fish With Jim Outfitters offers a wide range of shanties for you to choose from. We currently have 5 Eskimo hub style shanties that are insulated.

Trip Details

Meeting Place: We access our lakes in many places, please contact us for a meeting location.

License: Purchase a Michigan Fishing License for $10 daily. Click Here

Tackle: All tackle is provided at no extra cost.

Keeping Fish: You are welcome to keep the fish you catch on fishing outings with Fish With Jim Outfitters. Size limits and possession limits are set by the MDNR.

Fish Cleaning: Winter fish cleaning is not available.

What to Bring: To make your trip enjoyable, bring drinks, snacks, warm clothes, boots, gloves, hat, polarized sunglasses, a camera, and a cooler for your catch.

Gratuity: Please remember your guides before parting ways. A normal tip is 15% of the total value of your trip.

Places To Stay: There are many quality places to stay in the Traverse City Area. Please contact us, and we can assist you in finding a place to stay.

Terms of Service

Booking - Check the availability of a date by calling 248-252-1277 or fill our the form to below.  We will be in touch with you within 48 hours to arrange your date.

 

Deposit - Make a deposit of $50 per person per day by Credit Card (by phone) or by Check. Deposits are nonrefundable but, can be carried to a new date if the circumstances are within our cancellation policy.

 

Meeting Place - Fish With Jim Outfitters will contact you prior to your trip to discuss weather, lake & stream conditions and a meeting place.

 

Cancellations - If you must cancel your trip with Fish With Jim Outfitters, a 3 week notice is required.  Trips purchased from an outside vendor may be canceled but, a $75 re-booking fee will apply when choosing a new date.

 

Weather - Fish With Jim Outfitters will inform if your scheduled date needs to be rescheduled due to weather.
